The Albania Missions Team who will be working with the Lofquists
MONTHLY MISSION FOCUS
Our “Missionary of the Month” for May 2024 is the LBC Team that is going to Albania in July. We are excited that we will be sending 16 members of our church family to visit our missionaries Paul and Summer Lofquist July 11- 22.
The group is excited to see and help the Lofquists and experience their ministry firsthand. Of course, they are also excited to see how this experience will impact the lives of the people going and our missionaries on the field. As they go they want to keep these priorities in mind:
● They want to be used by God to share His Word and plant the seeds of the Gospel.
● They want to learn. Learning is more important than doing. We will learn about ourselves, others, and God.
● They want to serve God by serving this ministry however they want us to.
● They want to develop relationships with people. When that is the focus, it will be rewarding to both the group and our hosts.
● They want to use the experience to see how God will use us individually to impact global missions.
With those priorities in mind and the planning completed all that is left to do is pray for the trip and raise support. Please join the team in prayer over the next few months. Pray that they would go with the right attitudes, be an encouragement to our missionaries, and glorify God in their desire to share Christ!
The church will also have an opportunity to offer financial support. The travel expenses are approximately $2,000 per person for flights and housing. Money collected from our LBC church family will be evenly disbursed among those going to help bring down the individual cost of the trip. The church is going to have a special offering on Sunday, May 19. If you want to donate, you can do this online through the LBC app, check, or cash. Please make sure to designate the donation by writing Albania Missions Trip. Any money collected over the amount the group needs will be given to our host missionaries.
Thanks for your prayers and financial support. The group looks forward to the trip and is excited to see what God is doing in Albania through the Lofquists.
