Youth Ministries
At Liberty Bible Church, we are fully convinced that God has given parents the main responsibility of disciplining their teens. Guided by Scripture, the LBC youth ministry exist to come alongside families by supporting parents, engaging students with God’s Word, modeling biblical maturity in community, and encouraging engagement in the broader context of the local church. While “youth ministry” does not appear in the Bible, our goal is to direct teens to God and His Word through doctrinally robust teaching, multi-generational relationships, and opportunities for service and fellowship in our local church body. Teens participate with their families during Sunday morning worship and Family Bible Hour and have opportunity to meet with other teens during the following times. All Jr. and Sr. high students are welcome and encouraged to attend!
Sunday School (Sundays at 9:30 am)
Our Sunday school is divided into Jr. and Sr. high classes. The Jr. high class (7th and 8th grades), led by Logan Ruder, provides foundational Bible teaching for young teens. The world is a challenging place, especially with the uncertainties of middle school! With the goal of helping students know God and find their identities in Him, this class studies God’s Word in an engaging and accessible way.
Our Sr. High class (9th-12th grades), led by Pastor Spencer, builds upon the biblical foundation set forth in the middle school years. While you will find the class mostly studying exegetically through a book of the Bible, special series are spaced throughout the duration of a student’s high school journey looking at how to study the Bible, the benefits of biblical counseling, Old Testament survey, and biblical responses to other major religions.
Wednesday nights (Wednesdays at 6:30 pm)
Our main student gathering happens on Wednesday nights in the youth center. Here, Jr. and Sr. high students come together for Bible teaching, small group discussions and prayer, singing, games, and fellowship. Led by Pastor Spencer and a mature team of adult youth leaders, students are challenged in thought and action by the Word of God. We desire to see our teens know and be known by God, having strong roots, servant hearts, and a selfless desire to glorify God in all things. Throughout the year, students of all ages also have opportunity to participate in monthly activities, retreats, Bible studies, and fellowships.
